In 2008 Mayor Villaraigosa launched the Summer Night Lights program in an effort to lower gang activity during the summer months. From June until September local parks have extended hours until midnight.  Traditionally the summer months have the highest levels of gang activity.

On Saturday September 5, 2009 the Summer Night Lights Program, VANS shoes and Soles4Souls are combining forces to celebrate the success of the Mayor’s program.  From 2-7pm at the Jackie Tatum Harvard Recreation Center there will be a skateboarding contest.  I will be representing Soles4Souls as a celebrity judge.  The winners of the skateboarding competition will be rewarded with new shoes from VANS!

Back in March I attended the FOX Gives event in FOX studios.  The group of people I signed up in March will be heading with me to the Midnight Mission to volunteer.  At the event Soles4Souls is giving thousands of people in need new shoes.  Thank you to the employees of FOX who signed up for this fabulous event!

Good Day All,

I will be working at the Gibson Auditorium located at Universal Studios for the next few weeks.  I am working in the production office as a production assistant.   I am looking forward to my time here and getting a behind the scenes look at the 2009 MTV Movie Awards!

I will back in Boston to help send off Miss MA, Miss CT and Miss VT in style!  100% of the proceeds from the event will go to the Children’s Hospital in Boston.  I will be modeling  in the fashion show  with other former Miss USA state title holders.  For ticket information go to click here.

Hi All,

I had a wonderful time at Sundance with Real TV Films.  I was able to interview dozens of cast, crew and visitors to the film festival.  Slamdance coincides with Sundance, it is another film festival in Park City.  I was honored to interview and get to know the cast and crew of the documentary HEART OF STONE. HEART OF STONE won best documentary at Slamdance!  Director Beth Kruvant and Exec. Producer Paul Bartick uncover the story of Principal Stone  and his will to unite his students at Weequahic High School with the help of the Alumni Associations program. The Alumni Association is headed by Hal Braff, a big thank you to Hal.  It was great to get to know you at Sundance/Slamdance.

Happy New Year!

I am thrilled to begin 2009 back on the red carpet at the Critics’ Choice Awards.  The Critics’ Choice Awards are held annually by the Broadcast Film Critics Association (BFCA) to honor the finest in cinematic achievement.  The winners will be revealed at the 14th annual Critics’ Choice Awards broadcast live on VH1 on Thursday, January 8th from the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium.

Tonight I was a red carpet correspondent for RealTVFilms!  AngelChild-mag and John Casablancas Beverly Hills will host an evening of fashion and glamour that will bring world-level couture to Los Angeles . The celebration will take place at the Wilshire Plaza Hotel, which will host the red carpet event and present, for the first time in the United States , the collections of celebrated French designer Eric Tibusch. All funds raised during the evening will go to AYUDA, the American Youth Understanding Diabetes Abroad.  Check out the footage from the event at www.realtvfilms.com
